    About the Role:Thompson Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial and commercial plumbing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is analytical, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documentation to develop detailed plumbing estimates

    + Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using estimating software

    + Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and owners to gather necessary information

    + Prepare comprehensive project scope proposals in alignment with submission deadlines

    + Track and record current and previous bid results, monitor upcoming opportunities, and provide feedback for future improvements

    + Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

    + Work closely with project managers and field leaders to break down job costs and prepare material orders

    + Assist in project turnover meetings by providing detailed cost and material breakdowns

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or related field preferred

    + Experience in construction or plumbing is a plus, but not required

    + Strong attention to detail and solid mathematical and analytical skills

    + Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents

    + Computer proficiency required; must be skilled in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn industry software

    + Familiarity with industrial plumbing systems such as process piping, backflow prevention, medical gas systems, and high-pressure water systems is a plus

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
