    Assistant Cafe Manager Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)

    Description:

    $1,500 Signing Bonus

    Summary:

    Responsible for the successful day to day operations of any assigned Restaurant Outlet. Leads shift staff to ensure all FOH and BOH areas are performing efficiently and to Department standards and expectations. Responsibilities will include but not limited to maintaining ordering, managing labor hours, training, direction on policies and procedures, discipline and frequent evaluation of team members job performance. Encourages team member morale. Assist in other departments as needed such as Beverage and Banquets.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    + Provides strong leadership, active supervision and timely coaching and counseling to the staff.

    + Comprehends the Company’s disciplinary process and holds team members accountable to job performance challenges.

    + Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures and provides methods to improve efficiency and service.

    + Assist the Restaurant Manager to determine staffing levels, assign work locations, and track/manage payroll through schedules and time keeping programs.

    + Assist the Restaurant Manager to establish par levels for all inventory, supplies and equipment.

    + Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for anticipated business and monitor receipt of all orders.

    + Ensure that all inventory is properly stored and secure.

    + Responsible for ensuring proper training for all new hires and adhere to the 90 day probationary period Company standard for team member performance.

    + Acts as the first level of management in escalated situations during the assigned shift.

    + Monitor and assist Host(ess) in greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures. Ensure that tables are seated to best service the guests.

    + Access all functions of the P.O.S. system in accordance to specifications.

    + Handle voided and corrected checks in accordance with Accounting procedures.

    + Ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with Accounting standards.

    + Run system-closing reports and ensure that all servers' checks are closed before they sign out.

    + Responsible to ensure that all restaurant outlets maintain an “A” grade from the Health Department. Ensures health, safety and sanitation standards are always followed.

    + Ensure staff has all necessary tools to effectively perform their job duties. Monitor proper uniform standards.

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

    + Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma required, some college preferred.

    + Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

    + Three years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager/Supervisor, preferably in a similar style restaurant.

    + Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.

    + Compute basic mathematical calculations.

    + Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.

    + Certification in Alcohol Awareness Program.

    + Previous experience in cashiering/order taking and food service preferred.

    + Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

    + Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

    + Verify right to work in the United States

    + Must be able to work all shifts (24/7) weekends and holidays included.

    + Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
