UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Anesthesia Technician to support our expert providers across Liver Transplant, Cardiac Transplant, and Trauma services. Responsibilities:

+ Retrieves and appropriately distributes the equipment as directed to prepare a patient for anesthesia.

+ Assists in turning over rooms assuring minimal downtime between cases.

+ Helps maintain an adequate supply of all stock items in work room and keeps the work room clean and in an orderly condition.

+ Under supervision disassembles, decontaminates and sterilizes anesthesia equipment and supplies.

+ Assists in stocking the carts and surgical suites with the required supplies as outlined on the anesthesia surgical suite stock par list.

High School Diploma or GED required. 6 months - 1 year of health care experience preferred. If no previous hospital or pre-hospital training, Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to an Anesthesia Technician position within 6months to 1 year of hire.
