Clearance- TS/SCI w/ FSP

Salary- 200k-215k/yr

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a **Senior Network Engineer** with a strong foundation in enterprise networking and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have at least **16 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree** (or **14 years with a Master’s** ) and demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network systems across on-prem and cloud environments.

This is a high-impact, leadership-oriented role supporting critical infrastructure initiatives for our government customer.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

Technical Skills

+ Expert knowledge of networking protocols: **TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP** , etc.

+ Strong understanding of **network architecture, design, and implementation**

+ Proven experience in **network security** , including **firewalls, VPNs, ACLs**

+ Familiarity with **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

+ Knowledge of **network virtualization** and **Software-Defined Networking (SDN)**

Experience

+ Significant hands-on experience in **network engineering** , with a focus on design, implementation, and management of **large-scale, complex networks**

+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve **critical network issues**

+ History of enhancing **network performance and reliability** in enterprise environments

Subject Matter Expertise

+ Deep knowledge in areas such as:

+ **Routing & Switching**

+ **Network Security** (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection)

+ **Cloud Networking** (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

+ **Software-Defined Networking (SDN)**

+ Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide expert-level technical guidance

+ Skilled in creating clear and concise technical documentation (design documents, implementation plans, technical notes)

Protocol Experience

+ Routing protocols: **EIGRP, BGP**

+ Switching protocols: **STP, LACP, VTP** , etc.

Preferred Certifications

+ **CompTIA Network+** (or equivalent)

+ Advanced certifications such as:

+ **Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)**

+ **Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)**

+ **Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)**

+ **Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)**

+ **AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional**
