• SAP Quality Management Specialist

    Job Purpose

     

    Support the Quality Assurance department with related functions in SAP, the facility’s ERP system, with a focus on incoming ingredient review, finished good hold and release, finished good and ingredient traceability, and data entry for finished products. Support the Quality department in developing and implementing quality-related functions for the facility.

    Essential Functions

    + Review and release incoming ingredient COAs within SAP

    + Monitor and update finished goods and ingredient holds in SAP

    + Complete daily SAP transactions

    + Complete traceability exercises for finished goods and ingredients in SAP

    + Lead efforts to maintain accurate records in SAP system

    + Manage SAP discrepancies, working with warehouse and production

    + Participate in inventory audits as needed

    + Participate in customer and GFSI audits as SAP subject-matter expert

    + Participate in facility internal audits

    + Participate in facility investigations to identify root cause of non-conforming material; maintain non-conforming material log and update as non-conforming material is held or released

    + Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

    + Perform other job-related duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

     

    + Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in a technical field or quality-related program or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred

    + Prior quality assurance and SAP experience preferred

    + Knowledge and experience in general food safety and quality programs

    + HACCP certification and PCQI certification preferred

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, completeness, and accuracy

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

    + Self-motivated, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
