The Providence Heart Institute and Providence St. Vincent Hospital is seeking a Critical Care physician to join its growing multidisciplinary team at its Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Physicians that are fellowship trained, board-certified or board-eligible in Critical Care, with residency training from all disciplines, are encouraged to apply. The Critical Care team treats patients with all manner of cardiovascular conditions. As the highest volume cardiac surgery program in the state, you will manage patients following complex cardiac and aortic surgery. The Providence Heart Institute has a robust advanced heart failure service which includes an active heart transplant and LVAD program, as well as a very busy cardiogenic shock program which utilizes a wide array of temporary mechanical circulatory support including ECMO.

The Providence Heart Institute is an integrated cardiovascular service line with more than 80 specialists serving hospital and clinic locations throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. In addition, the program is a hub for vast data registries in cardiovascular care, including the Center for Cardiovascular Analytics, Research and Data Science (CARDS). This state-of-the-art institute is a leader in new therapies, and consistently receives national recognition, including the American Heart Association’s “Get With The Guidelines” designation for coronary artery disease care.
