    As a Shipping, Receiving and Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts in our facility, shipping parts, and cycle count inventory. Additionally, this position is responsible for verification of accuracy of all inbound shipments, preparing, loading, and shipping parts orders, and providing direct contact customer service for the Parts department. Ideal candidate will also have demonstrated forklift experience for loading and unloading parts, and other components onto/from flatbed, trucks, and trailers.

    Requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Receives shipments and verifies the count

    • Prepares receiving confirmation for accounting department

    • Stocks and stores shipments in appropriate locations

    • Operates forklift to load and unload freight and parts shipments

    • Ships parts using UPS WorldShip and other shipping/freight companies as required

    • Provide back-up assistance for parts phone calls

    • Provide superior customer service skills in person and through phone calls

    • Picks and packages of customer parts orders to packaging standards

    • Ensures parts and freight shipments are complete

    • Receives parts for each job from stockroom or related areas

    • Keeps inventory of supplies such as shipping tape, boxes, banding, and other as required

    • Keeps supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments

    • Good housekeeping skills for a clean and organized work area

    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, customer focused environment

    • Develops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change

    • Working knowledge of UPS WorldShip and other freight/shipping/trucking procedures

    • Strong Attention to detail with data entry into ERP system (Epicor)

    • Ability to read and match parts books, diagrams, and part numbers to the correct parts

    • Good understanding of mechanical principles and equipment operation

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    • Good math and computer skills

    • Willingness to work in other areas of manufacturing floor as needed

    + Report on all near-misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

    • One year of related experience in shipping and receiving or manufacturing experience

    • Customer service experience preferred

    • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or control

    • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    • Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds (25), and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds

    Working Conditions:

    • Manufacturing environment

    • Daily exposure to hot, cold, dusty, noisy environment

    • Occasional to frequent outdoor work

    • Potential to work at different area workstations to meet production needs

    Required Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Safety glasses

    • Safety-toed shoes

    • Hearing protection

    • Face shields as needed

    • Other PPE as required
