Job Summary:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Snowmakers are no exception to creating this experience of a lifetime. Responsible for overseeing the manufactured snow production, Managers are organized leaders working behind the scenes to ensure high quality snowmaking operations.

Job Specifications:

+ Starting Wage: $28.00/hr - $32.00/hr

+ Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026

+ Shift Type: Full Time hours available

+ Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities:

+ Oversee all aspects of the Snowmaking department for the location such as performance, compliance, staffing, training, and development

+ Review engineering and design plans snow making operations and maintenance programs

+ Manage construction, installation and improvement projects relating to the snowmaking operation

+ Review records of operational and safety performance making suggestions for improvement

+ Maintain adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

+ Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations throughout the course of work

+ Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on snowmaking operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.

+ Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

+ Highschool diploma or equivalent

+ Must be at least 21 years old

+ Valid driver’s license

+ 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred

+ Snowmaking operations experience required

+ Must be able to communicate fluently in English

+ Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

The expected pay range is $28.00/hr - $32.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
