Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SmartCOMM Lead/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SmartCOMM development and architecture, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise communication solutions. This is a strategic role focused on system design, implementation, and migration projects, including modernization from legacy systems like OpenText Exstream.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead the design, development, and implementation of SmartCOMM-based solutions.

+ Drive the migration of legacy communication systems (e.g., OpenText Exstream) to SmartCOMM.

+ Work with SmartCOMM modules including Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, and Web Editor.

+ Configure and deploy Smart Communications Appliances in cloud or hybrid environments.

+ Develop and support interactive communications (e.g., Draft Editor, Data Capture, Interactive PDFs).

+ Create and manage layout designs, style sets, and template selectors.

+ Integrate SmartCOMM with upstream and downstream systems using APIs and custom connectors.

+ Prepare XML data schemas and map them to business data objects effectively.

+ Design and deliver multi-channel communications (print, web/HTML, email, SMS, fax, archive, etc.).

+ Create static layouts for print and responsive layouts for web.

+ Configure Simple and Scriptable Batch Configurations, Template Selectors, and Output Configurations.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

+ Troubleshoot, validate, and optimize templates and communication workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

+ 9+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on SmartCOMM.

+ Deep understanding of SmartCOMM modules and deployment architectures (cloud/hybrid).

+ Strong experience in communication system migration from OpenText Exstream to SmartCOMM.

+ Proficiency in layout design, style sets, template selection, and communication workflows.

+ Hands-on experience with XML, JSON, Java/J2EE, and web services.

+ Familiarity with Thunderhead/Smart Communication APIs.

+ Experience in Agile development methodologies.

+ Prior exposure to other Customer Communication Management (CCM) tools is a plus.
