Laser Marker Operator

Position Summary

The Laser Marker Operator will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers’ prints and requirements. This is a 2nd shift position.

Principle Responsibilities

+ Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines.

+ Follows program notes to build and install fixturing.

+ Maintains proper line clearance for job.

+ Completes jobs per standard procedures.

+ Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece.

+ Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed.

+ Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings.

+ Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct.

+ Works independently and maintains productivity and quality.

+ Reads and interprets prints or schematics.

Qualification Requirements

Credentials/Experience:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Knowing how to use measurement tools

+ Prefer the ability to read blue prints

+ Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals.

+ Prefer computer skills

+ Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge.

+ Prefer Drawing Editor software experience.

+ Prefer working knowledge of working with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators)
