    Are you ready to make an impact in the world of environmental consulting? Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is looking for a motivated Environmental Scientist with up to 3 years of experience to join our dynamic and growing team in Washington, DC. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience, develop specialized expertise, and grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

     

    At GTA, we support a wide range of projects for a diverse client base—from due diligence assessments to regulatory consulting, Brownfields redevelopment, and site remediation. You'll also have the opportunity to work alongside professionals from our Laurel, MD and Sterling, VA offices, and across our geotechnical and construction observation/testing departments.

    Key responsibilities:

    + Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)

    + Perform on-site field work: site investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and data collection

    + Prepare high-quality reports, including visuals, tables, and exploration logs

    + Document daily activities and observations with accuracy (Daily Field Reports, Chain of Custody forms, sketches, etc.)

    + Collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple departments to deliver successful projects

    + Grow into advanced areas like regulatory interaction, vapor intrusion studies, asbestos/lead-based paint surveys, Brownfields projects, and project management

    What We're Looking For:

    + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering

    + Up to 3 years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting or a related field

    + Experience with Phase I and Phase II ESAs is a plus

    + Strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail

    + A self-starter who's eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges

    + Willingness to travel locally and perform field work in varying conditions

    + Ability to deliver accurate, organized, and effective documentation and reports

    Annual Salary: $47,000.00- $70,000.00
