    Team Summary

    The Manager Manufacturing Planning is an integral position of the Supply Chain Department and is responsible for building, organizing, and communicating an efficient production schedule that maximizes production efficiency while executing a strategy that reduces and optimizes finished goods and work-in-process (WIP) inventory, changeover costs, and satisfies customer demand. This individual will be responsible for the staffing and development of new and existing Materials & Planning employees (as related to their primary job function) to ensure facility and departmental goals are aligned. Further, this individual will be accountable for directly managing the activities to achieve the site inventory cost savings, volume, and customer service goals as well as the periodic organizational reporting and communication.

    Job Summary

    The Manager Manufacturing Planning is required to be a natural collaborator with a clear vision of how a team must interact and communicate. By forming and maintaining superior relationships with all functional departments, this individual will promote an environment to help drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork throughout the organization and lead by example. Additionally, the development of departmental goals that support the site strategy, and ensure overall customer satisfaction is met to align with company and location standards of excellence

    Essential Duties

    + 25% - Create and maintain Plant’s production schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis that balances production efficiency, inventory, and desired customer service levels.

    + 25% - Maintain communications with Production, Shipping, Purchasing, Marketing, etc. to provide a free exchange of information and ideas about scheduling plans so that necessary changes can be made smoothly to meet overall objectives. Maintain on-going communications with Supervisors, Buyers, etc. regarding schedule changes.

    + 20% - Manage direct reports by providing guidance and development plans that ensure a balanced and high performing team that is focused on safety, integrity, and accountability.

    + 25% - Manage planning and establishing overall production objectives based on customer demand and sales forecasts. Create the annual production plan that drives the budget through collaboration with sales, operations, accounting, and plant management. Manage SMOOSI inventory and dispositions per guidelines and time lines.

    + 10% - Perform other duties as assigned.

    Under This Roof We Require

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required with five-plus years of related experience required

    + 5+ years of relevant management experience in a manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of process improvements and team development

    + 2+ years Master Data management experience

    Under This Roof We Also Value

    + Supply Chain Management, Lean, or specialized continuous improvement education a plus

    + 5+ years of demonstrated proficient SAP experience and production planning experience. Experience with new SAP implementation a plus

    + Intermediate Excel user experience required. Advanced Excel user experience is a plus

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to maintain, update, and store/retrieve data on an ongoing basis.

    + Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.

    + Thorough knowledge and understanding of bills of material, routings, etc.

    + Familiar with software such as JDA, People Soft, Unix-based manufacturing systems, MRP, etc. Proficiency in PC applications including MS Office and Google tools.

    Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

     

    Base Salary Range: $92,001-$126,501
