    The Reconcilement Specialist I is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support for deposit operations bookkeeping functions with a primary focus on reconciliation of general ledger and demand deposit accounts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Reviews and balances internal general ledger and demand deposit accounts as assigned.

    • Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations for management review, including all supporting documentation and audit trail.

    • Works directly with internal and external auditors as required, providing all necessary documentation upon request.

    • Provides branch support on operational processes such as Cash Advances, Western Union Wire Transfers, Safe Deposit Payments, Convenience Pay, Cash Ordering, and Outgoing Cash Shipments.

    • Reviews and processes Fed Funds Investments with multiple correspondent banks, including submitting wire transfer requests, calculating and booking interest earned, maintaining balance requirements for each institution, and reporting information to executive management on a daily basis

    Competencies Required:

    • Proficiency with 10-key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access), and the ability to quickly learn and navigate banking software applications and systems.

    • Excellent organizational and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.

    • Good written and verbal communications skills.

    • Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills.

    • Self-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.

    • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • Ability to work flexible hours; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.

    • Basic accounting knowledge including account reconciliation.

    • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

    • 1-3 years banking or financial services operations experience.

    • Bookkeeping or deposit operations experience preferred.

    Formal Education & Certification:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Work Status:

    • Full-Time.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • None.

    Travel:

    • 0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.

    Working Conditions:

    • Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
