    This position exists to plan and direct all operations, maintenance, construction and repair of buildings, utilities, roads, parking areas and grounds of the Materials and Road Research Lab in Maplewood, MN This position is responsible for facility planning, maintenance operations, security and safety of all buildings, grounds and numerous programs located at the Maplewood complex. This position is responsible for direction and coordination of contracted services including plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades and technicians. This position is responsible for coordinating with Central Office Building Services to prepare bids and work directly with architects, engineers, and contractors on building projects, as well as being the onsite MnDOT project manager representative for all facility projects.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Experience with commercial maintenance activities including HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, as well as building and grounds maintenance.

    + Experience reading and interpreting technical plans/blueprints.

    + Experience applying State of Minnesota building and safety codes and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

    + Experience working as a project leader, demonstrating the ability to motivate and direct the work of other staff on project and work tasks.
