**Title:** Software Engineer II

**Job Location:** One M&T Plaza, Buffalo, NY 14203

**Job Description:** Develop, design, and maintain REST API services for the FDX (Financial Data Exchange) team using Java and Spring Boot in an Agile development environment; develop cloud platforms using Microsoft Azure; perform systems analysis, design, and development; design the technical components of project plans; participate in development and operations of overall systems development, from technical analysis to user acceptance testing; prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans; complete any required debugging; evaluate relationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms; provide highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist business units in meeting strategic objectives; prepare thorough and clear technical and functional specifications, and update systems documentation; prepare charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems; prepare and review assessments to include required tasks, estimated time frames, and effort for any scope project; maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications; recommend new technology, policies, and processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies; and assist in developing expense and capital budgets.

**Minimum requirements:** Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot within an Agile development environment; and in API Testing and Automation using CI/CD pipelines or a related tool.

**Salary:** $129,264.30 - $139,264.30
