    Job Description

    An innovative medical technology company focused on diabetes care is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer. The companys core product is an insulin delivery system that connects to a mobile app, providing real-time glucose data to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. In this role, youll build and scale secure backend services that support data ingestion, reporting, real-time notifications, and external integrations. The developer will take ownership of designing RESTful APIs and a partner-facing OAuth API that enables seamless data exchange with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) partners. Working within a modern AWS environment, the engineer will also support infrastructure for data ingestion, reporting, and alerting. This is a hands-on, mid-to-senior level position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and mission-driven environment where software directly impacts peoples health and quality of life.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    7+ years of professional experience in backend software development

     

    Strong AWS experience, including designing and deploying services using DynamoDB, App Runner, Fargate, EC2, Redshift, and API Gateway

     

    Proven experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade RESTful APIs

     

    Proficiency in C#/.NET (preferred) or Java, with ability to work in a .NET environment

     

    Demonstrated ability to build systems that handle high data volume and concurrent requests

     

    Experience working independently in a senior engineering capacity, with strong ownership mindset Experience developing secure, OAuth-based APIs for third-party integrations

     

    Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

     

    Familiarity with ETL pipelines (e.g., AWS Glue) and container-based deployment using Docker null
