    Nurse Practitioner - Erie Urgent Care Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $55.90 - $80.85 an hour - Per Diem, Days. Various shifts a week. **Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner who provides episodic care to patients in the Urgent Care setting within the standards and practices of a Family Nurse Practitioner. Facilitates the care of patients with minor illness.

    Qualifications •Possession of a Colorado State Nurse Practitioner license. •National Nurse Practitioner Certification required within conditional period of employment. •Prescriptive authority required. •Must be credentialed by BCH Medical Staff Office prior to hire date. •BLS certification required by the end of conditional period. •1 year of NP Urgent Care experience required

     

    Responsibilities •Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. •Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed. •Performs a thorough physical exam, and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. •Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. •Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. •Administers medications and injections as needed. Sutures minor lacerations. •Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. •Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education and discharges patients when appropriate. •Maintains and reviews patients’ records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. •Assists in the triage of patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
