    Now Hiring: Employment SpecialistLocation: Rochester, NYPosition Type: Full TimeSchedule: Primarily business hours, with some evenings and weekends as needed

     

    Are you someone who enjoys helping others build confidence and reach their employment goals? Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and energetic Employment Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities in gaining meaningful employment and developing real-world job skills.

     

    In this role, you'll provide direct job coaching and vocational training in a variety of community-based settings. You'll also help individuals build strong work habits, improve social and communication skills, and prepare for long-term employment success. This position involves meaningful connections with employers and the opportunity to truly change lives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide job skills training and supervision in community and facility-based work settings

    + Help individuals develop positive work habits, social skills, and independence

    + Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities

    + Assist with setting up job sites, vocational assessments, and training materials

    + Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and program outcomes

    + Serve as a positive role model, encouraging personal and professional growth

    + Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and reviews to support individual goals

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree preferred; OR

    + Associate's degree and 1 year of relevant experience; OR

    + High school diploma and 2 years of related vocational or human services experience

    + Strong communication and organizational skills

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively support individuals in various work environments

    + Valid NYS driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
