Role Summary-

Responsibilities-

+ Ability to work effectively under supervised direction.

+ Some experience in machining of Gas & Steam turbine repairs (typically acquired though classroom training,

+ on the job training, in shop training as a helper). Operates machinery and equipment including but not

+ limited to boring bars, lathes, vertical milling machines, drills, hydraulic pumps, chop saws, band saws, laps,

+ hones, taps, and a variety of cutting tools.

+ Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor/work leader.

+ Willing to work overtime as required.

+ Works in compliance with all company policies and procedures.

+ Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

+ Ability to pass all EHS courses and course requirements.

Qualifications-

+ Machining certificate preferred

+ Demonstrated ability to use precision tools including but not limited to outside and inside micrometers, bore,

+ gages, depth gages, dial indicators, and measuring scales.

+ Proven in shop machining capabilities running Lathe, Mills and Drills.

+ Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing

+ exemplary quality and customer service.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with

+ internal and external customers.

+ Ability to work independently & to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions

+ given, prescribed routines and standard acceptable practices.

+ Proficient using MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook on laptop computers

+ Has achieved a high school diploma or GED.

Characteristics-

+ Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, and reach with hands and arms.

+ Capable of lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs.

+ May require working in confined spaces.

+ Able to work in a variety of outside and inside environments.
