    + Job Summary :

    + Develops and implements safe and effective health and fitness programs for specific patient populations.

    + Education :

    + Position requires a high school diploma or GED or 6 months - 1 year equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area. College degree in Health Education, with certification in Personal training and/or other related field preferred.

    + Registration/Certification/Licensure :

    + Unexpired, unsuspended driver's license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.

    + Rock Steady Boxing Certification required or must obtain within a designated time frame.

    + Experience :

    + Position requires 3–5 years of related experience. Previous teaching or related experience preferred.

    + Other Requirements :

    + Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

    + Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

    + Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

    + Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements.

    + Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.

    + Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.

    + May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.

    + Additional specialty training/certification as a fitness instructor.

    + High level of awareness of local population health care needs.
