    Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst  to join our Finance Data & Analytics team. This role is critical in driving data integrity, financial reporting automation, and strategic insights across the organization. The ideal candidate is a systems-savvy problem solver with deep expertise in financial data, reporting tools, and cross-functional collaboration.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Serve as a subject matter expert on financial systems and data flows, particularly those feeding into the Axiom reporting platform.

    + Design, build, and maintain automated Axiom reports to streamline financial reporting and reduce manual effort.

    + Conduct advanced data analysis using large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights.

    + Lead data validation efforts for critical financial data used in CECL calculations, ALM models, and other regulatory and financial reporting.

    + Support the enterprise data lake initiative and other system integrations and implementations.

    + Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

    + Respond to data requests from internal stakeholders with accuracy and efficiency.

    + Support ad hoc analyses, digital transformation projects, and strategic initiatives across departments.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, MIS, and/or Data Science

    + 5+ years of relevant experience in a financial data analyst role

    + Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy

    + Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, ETL, database management, and visualization platforms (i.e. Power BI, Tableau)

    + Excellent problem solver with the ability to think creatively

    + Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

    + Proven track record of independent project ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic insights

     

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $150,000.00 – $165,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

    Hybrid Work Model

    Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
