    Pay: $60/hour flat rate

     

    Job Summary: To perform a wide variety of Speech Therapy evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of patients.

    Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech and Hearing Science.

    + North Carolina state license required.

    + One year of speech therapy experience is required in the acute care setting.

    + One year of travel experience preferred.

    + Cannot be a Full-time or Part-time CaroMont employee.

    + Considerable knowledge of speech and swallowing terminology, procedures, and techniques.

    + Thorough skill and clinical judgement in performing speech therapy procedures, including bedside swallow evaluations and treatment.

    + Specialized skills in performing and interpreting modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) are required.

    + Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams that aligns with CaroMont’s cultural values.

    + Commitment to providing highly reliable, high-quality, safe and compassionate care with a passion for continuous growth and providing an excellent patient experience.

    + BLS Certification required.
