    Description

    One of our clients in the advanced manufacturing space is seeking a Senior Estimator – Strategic Pricing to support complex quoting and cost analysis efforts. This role is ideal for a highly analytical individual with a strong background in pricing strategy and estimating in a high-volume, engineered-to-order environment. The position plays a key role in developing competitive proposals, collaborating across departments, and driving data-informed pricing decisions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Serve as the primary pricing resource to internal sales and commercial teams

    + Prepare detailed, strategic pricing for custom product proposals using internal cost inputs and market benchmarks

    + Evaluate customer requests and specifications to ensure technical alignment with product capabilities

    + Interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, and product specifications to determine accurate costing

    + Validate and refine cost assumptions with cross-functional input from engineering, supply chain, and operations

    + Ensure pricing aligns with target margins and market dynamics

    + Process and respond to incoming quote requests in a timely and accurate manner

    + Track key quoting metrics and contribute to reporting insights for leadership

    + Participate in continuous improvement efforts to refine pricing models and quoting workflows

    + Conduct peer reviews of pricing and documentation for quality and compliance

    + Maintain pricing documentation in accordance with internal controls and applicable quality standards (e.g. AS9100)

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quoting for both new and legacy products

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related technical discipline; equivalent industry experience considered

    + Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in estimating, pricing, or cost analysis within a manufacturing setting

    + Expertise working in high-mix, high-volume production environments

    + Proficiency with advanced Excel functions and cost modeling tools

    + Familiarity with ERP systems and integrated quoting processes

    + Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple pricing projects simultaneously

    + Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

    Preferred:

    + Prior experience in the aerospace or defense manufacturing sector

    + Ability to interpret engineering documentation, part drawings, and technical requirements

    + Exposure to ERP systems such as JD Edwards or Syteline is a strong plus

    + Experience preparing data-driven pricing strategies or executive-level cost presentations
