Description

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join a terrific accounting team of a Melville based, highly successful company. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts receivable and supporting financial operations while collaborating with an experienced and supportive team. This position offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with a strong and positive office culture.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding balances.

• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies and address collection issues.

• Assist in optimizing collection strategies and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding collections activities.

• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline daily tasks and maintain organized records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable collections processes.

• Strong understanding of collection procedures and best practices.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to handle client inquiries and disputes.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
