    We are working on a new opportunity for an HR Assistant/Representative! If you are looking to grow and expand your HR knowledge, this is the role for you! This role is based out of Cedar Rapids with some remote flexibility and is a long-term contract position.

     

    Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys helping others? We are seeking an HR Assistant to support our client’s Human Resources department by handling high-volume inbound phone calls regarding general HR inquiries across a variety of topics, including company policies, payroll, benefits, paid time off (PTO), and more.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Handle inbound calls: Respond to high-volume employee inquiries regarding HR-related topics such as company policies, payroll discrepancies, PTO, and benefits.

    + Provide accurate information: Ensure employees receive timely and correct responses aligned with the company’s policies and procedures.

    + Document and follow up: Maintain detailed records of employee interactions in the appropriate database or system, and follow up as necessary.

    + Support HR initiatives: Assist with the implementation of HR programs and processes when required.

    + Maintain confidentiality: Protect sensitive employee information and adhere to company guidelines related to confidentiality and data protection.

    Requirements

    + Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role within HR is highly preferred.

    + Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.

    + Technical proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

    + Ability to multitask: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple inquiries simultaneously.

    + Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework in HR or related fields is a plus.
