Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic energy sector.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.

• Assist in the month-end close process by preparing reports and analyzing financial data.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting processes.

• Utilize Oracle and SAP systems to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.

• Strong proficiency in Oracle and SAP systems.

• Solid understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, with experience in the energy sector preferred.
