Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, specializing in areas such as toxic torts, construction defects, and general liability insurance defense. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hybrid work setting and contribute to high-quality legal support for attorneys across various cases.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned caseloads while collaborating with multiple attorneys to ensure timely and accurate legal support.

• Draft discovery responses, including preparing initial templates and incorporating information provided by attorneys and adjusters.

• Organize trial preparation materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.

• Prepare legal pleadings and other court documents to support case progress.

• Conduct thorough document reviews to identify key information and ensure compliance.

• Assist with electronic filing in both state and federal courts, ensuring adherence to filing requirements.

• Utilize document management systems effectively to organize and retrieve case files.

• Track billable hours using tools like Aderant and iTimekeep to meet annual requirements.

• Provide backup support for administrative tasks to maintain seamless office operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in defense-focused practices.

• Proficiency in discovery-related tasks, including drafting requests and responses.

• Strong knowledge of trial preparation processes and legal pleadings.

• Familiarity with electronic filing systems for state and federal courts.

• Experience with document management systems; knowledge of iManage is a plus.

• Ability to meet billable hour requirements and track time effectively.

• Certification as a paralegal is preferred but not mandatory if supported by relevant experience.

• Proficiency in legal software tools such as CompuLaw is highly desirable.
