S ummary
The Project Analyst Level I I is the Intermediary Level position that provides analytical and administrative support within the MTA Construction & Development. Analysts review and approve project budgets and transactions during the life cycle, and including contingencies and budget moves to support the capital program and mitigate the potential impact on other projects and the capital program as a whole as well as provide necessary administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Program Oversight, the Assistant Vice Presidents for Program Coordination (Program Oversight,) the Assistant Vice President for Program Coordination (Expansion Projects) and the Senior Director for Bridges and Tunnels Project Development.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary by assignment.
Typical duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist in develop ing, preparing , and updating analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
Support data-gathering, review ing , and updating information and documentation in project management systems and various systems supporting departmental operations.
Assist in detailed budget monitoring and administration tasks for review, modification , and approval of capital project transactions as well as Program Oversight/Development departmental operations.
Provide analytical support for developing research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects , program oversight, transactions, or departmental analytical act ivit ies .
May handle confidential and sensitive information related to capital projects , departmental personnel, and operations.
Ensure effective communication and function as a liaison with employees at all levels within the department and with other C&D units, as needed.
As needed, provide analytical support for various departmental and project management processes and reports .
Provide necessary administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Program Oversight, the Assistant Vice Presidents for Program Coordination (Program Oversight ), the Assistant Vice President for Program Coordination (Expansion Projects) , and the Senior Director for Bridges and Tunnels Project Development.
E ducation and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field .
Must have a minimum of one ( 1 ) year of related experience.
Competences:
Strong analytical skills.
Self-motivated and detail - oriented.
Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with all levels of management and team members.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Access , and PowerPoint).
