    Job Title: Receiving Associate

    Job Description

    The Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming blank apparel shipments. This involves verifying the quantities, colors, and sizes against purchase orders and packing slips, and ensuring proper inventory placement. The role also includes communication of any discrepancies to the supervisor and supporting other departments as needed to ensure a smooth production flow.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive incoming shipments of blank apparel from various vendors.

    + Carefully unload and unpack incoming goods.

    + Accurately verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips, ensuring correct quantities, colors, and sizes.

    + Identify and document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately upon receipt.

    + Report discrepancies or issues to the immediate superior for resolution.

    + Assist with co-inventory duties, ensuring all received garments are placed in their correct and organized designated locations within the warehouse.

    + Accurately enter received inventory into the system, maintaining up-to-date records.

    + Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient receiving and inventory area.

    + Collaborate effectively with the Apparel Staging Lead, Shipping Associate, and other team members to ensure a smooth flow of materials.

    + Assist other departments as needed based on workload and time availability.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in material handling and warehouse operations.

    + Familiarity with garment production processes.

    + Proficiency in using a manual pallet jack and hand tools.

    + Ability to operate an RF scanner.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Ability to read and understand purchase orders and packing slips.

    + Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.

    + Ability to lift and move boxes of apparel as required.

    + Excellent communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory role is a plus.

    + A team player willing to assist other departments.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. The dress code is casual, allowing for jeans, slacks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies, with steel-toed boots or sneakers being required. Ensure safety by avoiding baggy clothing and loose/hanging jewelry.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, New York.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
