Job Title: Warehouse Worker - Night Shift
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for completing assigned production duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. This involves accurately loading, unloading trucks, picking orders, and supporting the distribution of products.
Responsibilities
+ Achieve assigned goals in the areas of warehouse safety, quality, performance, and cost.
+ Pick customer tickets in the correct sequence using proper code dates and procedures including the warehouse management systems.
+ Unload products upon arrival at the warehouse and verify quantity, item, and load ID number. Scan pallet labels and assign/move items to the appropriate location.
+ Rotate products by date and code to ensure quality, identify products by labels and date codes, and stage for loading.
+ Maintain accurate record-keeping and document control practices for product movement within the warehouse.
+ Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor/Lead on potential or existing issues affecting load schedules or customer satisfaction.
+ Notify others of mechanical malfunctions to enhance productivity and equipment capabilities, and identify areas for operator assistance in resolving issues.
+ Comply with GMP’s, SOP’s, corporate, and warehouse policies, rules, and regulations.
+ Provide assistance and support to all warehouse facility areas as assigned by the supervisor/lead and begin training on key areas such as forklifts.
+ Cover breaks, lunches, and other staffing needs as assigned by the supervisor/lead.
+ Ensure compliance with all legal safety requirements on assigned shifts and report concerns to the supervisor/lead.
+ Work safely and report safety concerns promptly, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
+ Report food safety problems and initiate action to support SQF by maintaining food safety and quality.
+ Ensure work areas are sanitary and strictly adhere to sanitation practices.
+ Communicate effectively between shifts and other departments.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in material handling, picking, pallet jack, and inventory management.
+ 2+ years of experience operating powered material handling equipment such as forklifts, powered pallet jacks, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
+ Consistent work history, ideally 2+ years at each company.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving and order picking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate using the English language.
+ Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, and goals.
+ Ability to operate facility equipment as required.
+ Completion of all company training requirements.
+ Ability to interpret company documents and literature.
+ GED or High School diploma preferred.
+ 1 year of direct or related experience required.
+ Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (manual/electric).

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
