Job Description:

**Set-up Technician** is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine set-up and operations of molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic equipment, and monitoring that equipment. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Load, start up, perform mold changes, color changes and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines per setup instructions; Shut down machines when necessary.

+ Perform visual and functional quality inspection at predetermined intervals to assure product quality meets standards.

+ Perform material handling, monitor auxiliary equipment, and minor maintenance as required.

+ Perform gaging as necessary to assure product meets dimensional standards.

+ Correctly label products and palletize for transfer to next operation.

+ Maintain accurate documentation to meet job requirements.

+ Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to achieve production requirements and promote awareness.

+ Communicate any Machine/Quality issues immediately to supervisor.

+ Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Dahti Seating.

+ Follows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001 and OSHA.

+ Complete all additional tasks, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Prior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus.

+ Basic math skills and reasoning ability.

+ Must be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift.

+ Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.

+ Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic.

+ Good Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Compensation Information:

$23.80 plus 10% shift premium (total: $26.18)
