    What You’ll Do:

    As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

    + Design and deliver robust data architectures and ETL pipelines that empower Omnicell’s sales teams and leadership to make informed decisions, ultimately improving customer outcomes and operational efficiency in healthcare.

    + Develop scalable data solutions – Build and maintain dimensional data structures and ETL pipelines to ensure data availability and integrity, measured by system reliability and stakeholder satisfaction.

    + Drive actionable insights – Create dashboards and visual tools displaying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support Sales Operations and leadership, enabling strategic business decisions.

    + Lead database innovation – Design and implement new database features, performance enhancements (e.g., indexing, query tuning), and security frameworks to align with business objectives and improve data accessibility.

    + Collaborate and advise – Provide expert guidance on database design principles and support ad-hoc queries, driving value for internal customers by optimizing data workflows and reporting processes.

    + Creates and/or develops new methods of analysis, database design and performance measurement or, in some cases, adaptation of existing solutions to new areas.

    + Performs modeling of data source workflows.

    + Defines, develops, and implements policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information.

    + Extracts and compiles data using SQL queries with filtering, grouping, and aggregate functions as needed.

    + Designs and develops application code or scripting to extract data from various Application Programming Interface (API).

    + Researches and implements new database features, which supports the business objectives and improves database performance/availability.

    + Coordinates with other departments regarding consistency and accuracy of data.

    + Performs general database administrative tasks such as user management, data backup and recovery.

    + Implements performance enhancements through indexing and query tuning.

    + Creates and maintains high quality database documentation following established guidelines

    Who You Are:

    + 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related fields.

    + Bachelors or Masters Degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Proficiency with Microsoft data technologies (SQL Server, SQL Server Agent, SSIS, Excel) and programming languages (Python, R).

    + Expertise in data extraction, mining, acquisition, and profiling, with the ability to translate customer requirements into complex specifications.

    + Experience with big data and cloud solutions (e.g., Snowflake, NoSQL, Kafka, Apache Spark).

    + Knowledge of advanced statistical concepts (e.g., logistic/linear regression, segmentation, time-series forecasting) or tools like Tableau, SAS, or Business Objects.

    + Familiarity with system administration (e.g., Salesforce, SAP ECC, SharePoint) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
