Summary of Position
The Evaluator/Advisor is responsible for processing official and unofficial evaluations of nontraditional learning and degree plans, transfer credit articulations, providing academic advising, enrolling, and assisting students. Provides educational information and counseling to all eligible students on program requirements, admissions and withdrawal policies. Provides said services to students in CTC’s north service area counties.
Minimum Required Education
Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required and four years full-time wage earning experience in administrative support, customer service, or academic advising and student support OR
Bachelor’s Degree with two years full-time wage earning experience administrative support, customer service, or academic advising and student support.
Minimum Required Experience
Refer to experience required based on education level.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
+ Ability to interact effectively with the public, students, faculty and college personnel.
+ Ability to proofread and verify reports with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Ability to lead and work effectively within a team.
+ Ability to organize and disseminate information.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with students at a distance, using various Internet communication capabilities.
+ Display strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multitask.
+ Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality
+ Ability to work outside normal working hours when workload demands.
Salary 1K/per salaried pay scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon - Thur 7:30am - 5:30pm Fri 7:30-11:30am, Other - This position may require evenings and other nonstandard working hours.

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events and programs.
+ Occasional travel may be necessary to build partnerships and attend conferences.
+ Must be capable of working under precise and exacting conditions and be able to work under stress.
+ Must have a neat appearance and have the ability to work well with the general public and others.
+ Must be willing to work with incarcerated students.
+ Must meet Texas Department of Criminal Justice ( TDCJ ) security requirements.
