    Summary of Position

    Serve as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet with executive responsibility to provide leadership and management of enrollment management and student affairs services. Supervise the Dean, Student Success and Persistence; Dean, Student Services; Dean, Library Services, and Director, Recruiting for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of enrollment management and student affairs services that support the accomplishment of the District’s Mission, Vision, Core Values and the continuation of the District’s accreditation status.

     

    Minimum Required Education

     

    Master’s Degree in higher education or directly related field from a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education required.

     

    Doctorate preferred.

     

    Minimum Required Experience

     

    Five years of full-time wage earning higher education executive management experience or ten years of full-time wage earning post-secondary education senior management experience at the Dean or Senior Administrator level.

     

    Senior level experience and knowledge in administration and supervision of enrollment management and student affairs departments in higher education required.

     

    Preference will be given to candidates with community college executive level administrative and/or community college experience.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Established commitment to the principles of excellence in higher education.

    + An understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy and the Guided Pathways model.

    + Knowledge of Texas and federal laws and regulations related to education in general and community colleges specifically.

    + Knowledge of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accrediting standards.

    + Knowledge of contemporary programs and goals of college student development, student affairs administration, and enrollment management.

    + Commitment and ability to advocate for the multiple needs of students.

    + Demonstrated excellent leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the implementation of change with focus on quality and student success.

    + Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with public schools, colleges and universities, state and federal government and the military.

    + Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills; and effectively present information to college leadership, Board of Trustees, public groups, and other stakeholder groups.

    + Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to inform institutional decisions.

     

    Salary Commensurate with experience

     

    Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30am-5:30 pm Fri 7:30-11:30

    + Occasional travel is required both in and out of the State.

    + Possess a valid Driver’s License and qualify for insurance under CTCD commercial auto policy.
