Description
+ Interprets blueprints and prepares drawings of electrical and electronic schematics using AutoCAD with drawing aids.
+ Assist in evaluating new installations, equipment, and control systems. Evaluations to include recommending hardware and software, along with circuit design considerations.
+ Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs existing electrical and electronic systems and components down to sub system levels or components.
+ Installs Electrical/Electronic equipment and systems, installations to include the design and fabrication of new control panels and the installation of new electrical feeders.
+ Develop programs using the Allen Bradley SLC-500, PLC-5, Micrologix, Compact Logix, and Control Logix families of programmable controllers and all versions of Allen Bradley Panel view interfaces
+ Maintains services and installs Variable frequency drives varying in sizes from ~ hp to 100 hp.
+ Adheres to the current National Electrical Code as directed. Follows all safety procedures and practices, particularly relating to electronic/electrical systems.
+ Participates in on-the-job training and development of other mechanics and technicians.
+ Contacts other department personnel, vendors, and contractors relating to specific assignments.
+ Works on live circuits including high voltage 480 V AC, 277 V AC, 208 V AC, and 120 V AC, as well as lower voltages, relating to the electronic equipment.
+ Performs critical duties during facility emergencies.
MACHINES /INSTRUMENTS USED:
+ Fully knowledgeable in the use of the following pieces of test and calibration equipment.
+ True RMS multi-Meter
+ True RMS Amp Probe
+ RTD and (ma) calibrators
+ Digital Oscilloscope
+ Thermometer calibration in dry wells
+ Optic RPM detection equipment.
+ Multi-channel trend /peak recorders
+ Fully versed in the use and operation of personal and portable computers.
Qualifications
Five to seven years of Electronic and computer experience.
Knowledge of the Current National Electrical Code.
Must be able to work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of oneself and others.
Ability to read blueprints and draw schematics.
Pay Range:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is **$26.00 to $43.00.** Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
