DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Responsible for day to day troubleshooting of the production systems including maintenance, load balancing, and configuration changes. Install software on the batch and online systems. Prepare setup reports and scheduler jobs. Provide first and second level support for the operations area. Perform database administration including tuning, altering and creating new tables as needed. Responsible for major projects such as installing new software systems or applications residing on the production systems. Responsible for training the level I and II technical support staff. Fix application errors reported from Level I. Provide technical support for application and platform incidents. Implement application code and configuration updates for the following: Application Release Installs; IP changes; Encryption Key changes; Merchant/Client updates; Client and customer transactional research; and Password reset for applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study plus 3 years in the job offered or as Applications Support, Systems Developer, Applications Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Nonstop Computer Systems; Tandem systems; Pathway; Golden Gate; Encribe; TACL; Netbatch; Control/M; Prognosis; providing Application and Technical support; SQL; and install, configure and support the following products: RDF, GoldenGate, SQLXpress and Escort SQL.
