    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Senior Accounting Analyst to join our growing Accounting Department.

     

    The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and delivery of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, while supporting company-wide initiatives that drive operational improvements and enhance internal capabilities.

     

    Multiple Senior Analyst roles are currently available, with opportunities across various teams including Product Accounting, Insurance Accounting, Treasury Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Accounting Policy. As we engage with qualified candidates, we will work to align individual strengths and interests with the appropriate opening.

     

    This role is onsite 5 days a week in Plano, TX, and is anticipated to last through August 2026.

    Essential Duties:

    Ensure all daily and monthly accounting activities are completed accurately and on time

     

    Prepare and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations

     

    Maintain effective internal controls and ensure detailed procedural documentation is up to date

     

    Coordinate responses for internal and external audit requests

     

    Interpret and apply US GAAP standards; assist in the implementation of new accounting guidance as needed

     

    Participate in the financial reporting process, including the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements

     

    Support departmental and company-wide initiatives focused on efficiency and growth

     

    Identify and implement improvements to current processes, metrics, and analyses

     

    Provide training and mentorship to team members through direct assignments or informal leadership

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field (or equivalent work experience)

     

    Proven experience in accounting or financial reporting roles with progressive responsibility

     

    Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI

    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve complex issues

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functionality (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

     

    A strong desire to learn and leverage emerging technologies

    Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

    A mix of public and corporate accounting experience

     

    Background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Treasury

     

    Experience working in a large corporate environment

     

    Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

    Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $65, with some flexibility.
