    _UPMC Washington is looking for a casual Imaging Services Student Tech to join our Radiology team! This position offers flexible hours around your current school schedule and every other weekend shifts, allowing you to gain hands-on experience while balancing your studies. In this role, you’ll work under the supervision of a registered technologist, performing imaging procedures and assisting with daily responsibilities—a great way to kickstart your imaging career!     Responsibilities:

    + Greet and register patients, manage exam tracking, scan scripts, and schedule procedures in the Radiology Information System (RIS).

    + Support Radiologists and Technologists during modality-specific imaging exams.

    + Operate advanced imaging equipment under supervision to acquire and document image data per protocol.

    + Assist with contrast setup, without handling injector loading or priming.

    + Help position patients for exams, without holding detectors or patients during radiation procedures.

    + Capture high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety standards and protocols.

    + Perform daily equipment checks, warm-ups, and quality control tasks under Technologist supervision.

    + Maintain up-to-date clinical skills and equipment competencies.

    + Demonstrate system-wide competencies and professional behaviors.

    + Carry out additional duties as assigned.

     

    Schedule: This role will work Monday-Friday, rotating days, shifts, weekends, and holidays. The 8 hour shifts: 6:30a-2:30p, 7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 12p-8p, 1p-9p, 3p-11p, 4p-12a. May be pulled to other shift/days based on hospital needs.

    Qualifications:

    + Must be an active 2nd year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire/transfer.

    + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

    + Act 33 with renewal

    + Act 34 with renewal

    + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
