PrecipartMachinist - Manual Farmingdale, NY 11735

Precipart, located in Farmingdale, New York, is looking for a Machinist with manual machining experience. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to fabricate precision, custom parts used in the medical device and aerospace industry. As a Machinist, you will use inspection tools to ensure dimensions of finished components are accurate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machinist seeking to apply their advanced skills in a precision manufacturing environment and further grow their career within a high-performing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Set up and operate conventional machines to fabricate parts

+ Review blueprints to accurately fabricate parts to the specified dimensions

+ Start, observe and maintain machine operation

+ Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met

+ Fabricate parts within tolerance of +/- .0002

+ Meet quality standards and production schedules

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

+ 5+ years relevant work experience.

+ High school or equivalent (Preferred)

+ Experience operating manual lathe, milling, grinding and / or gear cutting manual machines

+ Experience working to very close tolerances (+/- .0002)

+ Experience with hand/power tools a plus

+ Experience with reading blue prints for mechanical components

+ Experience inspecting parts and using inspection tools

+ Good aptitude for shop math

+ Demonstrates interest and aptitude in this line of work

+ Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet production schedule

+ Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Good communication skills

+ Able to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 40lbs

Pay Range: $25.00 to $35.00 an hour
