    Job Summary

    Working as the Pastry Chef for a brand new, gourmet French food and delicatessen outlet located at 1100 Avenue of the Americas, you are responsible for innovation and excellence in the world of pastries and desserts at Fauchon. Fauchon serves Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Monday through Sunday and closes to the public at 4pm. The outlet will be open for private events in the evenings Monday through Friday. This location is scheduled to open at the end of September.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Culinary Excellence, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and aligned with Fauchon and R/A brand standardsManage a team hourly associatesBuild outstanding relationships with clients and guestsManage cost controls and controls expenditures for the accountRoll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Extensive pastry/kitchen management experience, with a preference for those with French pastry experienceComprehensive understanding of pastry and dessert trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and the InternetStrong leadership and team-building skillsWillingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activitiesA passion for foodServSafe certification is highly desirable
