Job Summary

Working as the Sous Chef for a brand new, gourmet French food and delicatessen outlet located at 1100 Avenue of the Americas, you are responsible for supporting the Executive Chef with the effective execution of culinary services for the 75-100 seat restaurant. Fauchon serves Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Monday through Sunday and closes to the public at 4pm. The outlet will be open for private events in the evenings Monday through Friday. This location is scheduled to open at the end of September.

French Culinary Training is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Excellence, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and aligned with Fauchon and R/A brand standardsManage a team hourly associatesBuild outstanding relationships with clients and guestsManage cost controls and controls expenditures for the accountRoll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal French Culinary Training, preferredSome progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or trainingHigh volume production and catering experiencePrevious experience managing cost controlsA passion for foodDesire to learn and grow with our company
