PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated and talented **Software Engineer** to support advanced aerospace and defense simulation systems. What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a high-performing team supporting the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train. Your primary focus will be on the **Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST)** project, where you will:

+ Design, develop, test, and integrate software features using **C++ and/or Java** .

+ Work in a **Linux-based environment** to model Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) capabilities.

+ Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from concept to deployment.

+ Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, agile environment.

+ Contribute to warfighter readiness through simulation and modeling applications.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).

+ Familiarity with object-oriented programming in **C, C++, or Java** .

+ Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

+ **This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens**

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Hands-on experience with **C++ or Java** in a professional setting.

+ Experience with the **Atlassian Tool Suite** (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

+ Background in **missile defense** , **infrared surveillance** , or **modeling and simulation** .

+ Knowledge of **Agile methodologies** such as Scrum or Kanban.

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

**Pay Details:** $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
