    RESPONSIBILITIES

    I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Directs, plans, and effectively manages the day-to-day operations (inpatient and outpatient), administration, coordination, and integration of services, programs, and activities of Physical Therapy including wound care.

    • Responsible for achieving departmental goals and objectives for assigned area(s) and ensures effective utilization of human and material resources.

    • Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of the Hospital.

    • Collaborates and coordinates functions, services, and operations to ensure alignment with Physical Therapy at Molokai General Hospital.

    • Responsible for the coordination of efforts with other departments within the organization.

    II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.

    B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:

    • Infrequent: N/A

    • Occasional: Lift floor to waist between 11-20 lbs. Lift waist to shoulder between 11-20 lbs. Lift waist to overhead between 11-20 lbs. Carry between 11-20 lbs.

    • Frequent: N/A

    • Constant: N/A

    C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:

    • Infrequent: Kneel. Crawl. Climb: Stairs/Ladder.

    • Occasional: Stoop/Bend. Twist. Squat. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head.

    • Frequent: Stand. Walk.

    • Constant: Sit. Gripping.

    III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

    • Some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

    IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or healthcare administration; or four (4) years progressive experience in healthcare may be substituted for the education requirement.

    • Current BLS certification.

    B. EXPERIENCE:

    • In addition to the educational requirement, four (4) years of experience in a healthcare office, preferably in physical therapy or a related field.

    • Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.

    • EPIC electronic health record knowledge/experience preferred.
