Overview

Helio Health is proud to lead the way as the firstIntensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC)in New York State, offering a new and innovative level of care for individuals in acute behavioral health or substance use crises. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, immediate care in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations for individuals in crisis.

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment and stabilization plans.

+ Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.

+ Collaborate with RNs, therapists, peer specialists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.

+ Provide crisis intervention and support patient transitions to appropriate levels of care.

+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work on a Full-Timebasis out of Helio Health’sIntensive Crisis Stabilization Center Program.

Schedule: Flexable, evening/night and some weekend coverage with an on-call rotation.

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

+ Provide direct patient care of medical examination and monitoring, psychiatric consultation, implementation of medical orders, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.

+ Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.

+ Provide and document medical and psychiatric consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.

+ Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.

Qualifications

+ Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department.

+ At least one year of experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.

+ Have prescriptive authority and DEA number.
