Job Summary
The Director of Infrastructure and Operations position is within Prolink's Information Technology department and is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing cloud engineering, overseeing IT infrastructure, and supporting a team of technical professionals. This role combines cloud engineering expertise with team management, cross-functional collaboration, and operational oversight across infrastructure, support, and
security.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Lead and support a high-performing IT team, including cloud engineering and support functions, through coaching, development, and performance management
+ Oversee IT operations across infrastructure, end-user support, and systems management to ensure optimization, stability and scalability
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams to align IT solutions with organizational priorities
+ Oversee IT security to uphold compliance, proactively manage risk and manage the execution of a security
+ roadmap that ensure a mature security posture.
+ Ensure the continuous, secure, and reliable delivery of Azure compute, network, directory, database(s), and Fabric services
+ Manage and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting Power BI (Microsoft Fabric) and Prolink’s Data Factory
+ Apply FinOps principles to optimize and forecast compute expenses by collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders
+ Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment challenges
+ Ensure efficient operation of data storage and processing systems in compliance with company security policies and best practice standards
+ Partner with engineering and development teams to assess and implement optimal cloud solutions
+ Ensure all cloud implementations adhere to industry standards and best practices, especially in cloud security
+ Conduct regular reviews of current systems and provide recommendations for enhancements
+ Interact with clients to deliver cloud support and advise on solutions tailored to their needs
+ Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy and educate internal teams on the adoption and integration
+ Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud-based applications, infrastructure, and services
+ Design and maintain secure, organized, modular and scalable cloud systems to support enterprise-wide operations
+ Collaborate closely with IT security to ensure data privacy and compliance in cloud environments
+ Respond promptly and professionally to technical issues as they arise
+ Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud
+ Recommend and implement top cloud architecture solutions to align with the company’s strategic goals
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or certification(s) in computer science, information technology, or a related field
+ 4+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams, including performance management and mentoring
+ 5+ years of experience in a related field
+ 5+ years of experience in cloud computing
+ Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory and Power BI)
+ Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and client management skills
+ Experience with CI/CD systems
+ Experience with SysOps
+ Understanding of basic network and security concepts
+ Understanding of DNS, and domain record management
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Experience in overseeing IT operations, including infrastructure, support, and systems administration
+ Able to be flexible and adaptable to meet right deadlines, deliver results, and quickly pivot based on shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
+ Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance hands-on technical work and team leadership responsibilities in a dynamic environment
+ Able to use a variety of business or technical programs to complete tasks
+ High level of integrity, motivation, accountability, and perseverance in accordance with Prolink's values
PREFERENCES
+ Experience in the staffing or talent solutions industry
+ Experience in traditional infrastructure operations
+ Experience in FinOps
+ Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP
+ Candidates with additional and relevant experience, education, licensing, or certification beyond the role’s requirements and/or specific to the nature of Prolink’s business will be given additional consideration in the candidate selection process.
