The Leave Specialist participates as an integral and cooperative team member in achieving department-related goals for the agency. We are seeking an individual who has/is:

This is a full-time hybrid position with a Monday through Friday schedule. We are a mission-driven organization, and welcome candidates who bring the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
DUTIES:
+ Serving as the primary liaison with our FMLA vendor.
+ Reconcile assigned benefit accounts and approve billing statements.
+ Ensuring timely submission of sensitive documents to internal and external stakeholders; sending required paperwork, supporting the processing of leave requests, and managing time off for various types of LOAs (i.e., Workers Compensation, FMLA, ADA, PLOAs, etc.).
+ Coordinating the LOA process, collaborating with management, health services, and payroll as needed.
+ Monitoring employee leaves/intermittent leaves, providing usage reports to employees and management.
+ Monitoring and tracking employee health benefit premiums during unpaid LOAs.
+ Correspond with employees and management to communicate key dates and milestones during LOAs, and draft specific letters for time-off requests and terminations.
+ Establish FMLA claims, code documentation according to internal workflows
+ Maintain employee LOA files to ensure data accuracy.
+ Create, maintain, and distribute reports on LOAs.
+ Stay informed about state and federal regulations related to LOAs and disability accommodations and recommend process improvements to management.
+ Coordinate wellness initiatives and programs.
+ Implement changes and improvements to benefit and leave processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in HR, Business, related degree, or equivalent education and/or experience required. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related degree preferred.
