    One World, an imprint of Random House, seeks a talented and experienced Associate Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager to spearhead strategic marketing efforts for both frontlist hardcover releases and backlist Essential Editions. Reporting directly to the Associate Marketing Director, this role is integral to ensuring that One World’s titles reach and engage a broad audience. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Editorial, Publicity, and Sales, crafting innovative campaigns that celebrate One World's unique mission and literary excellence. One World, a division of Penguin Random House, the world's leading trade book publisher, is renowned for its commitment to amplifying diverse voices and stories that challenge, inspire, and enrich. With a curated collection of bestsellers and thought-provoking titles, One World has become a trusted platform for authors exploring themes of identity, justice, and social change. Our catalog boasts influential works such as 1619 Project, How to Be an Antiracist, Born A Crime, Just Mercy, Minor Feelings and The Undocumented Americans, which all continue to resonate with readers and spark meaningful conversations. One World is a small, highly collaborative imprint dedicated to publishing high-quality fiction and nonfiction. The ideal candidate will have experience in working directly with authors and agents and managing campaigns, as well as working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities include:

     

    • Campaign Development: Ideate, develop, and execute innovative and data-driven marketing plans for individual titles and series. Adapt strategies based on market data, consumer trends, and performance metrics.

    • Asset Coordination: Partner with the design team to create compelling assets for campaigns, including digital content, email marketing materials, social media graphics, and more.

    • Team Communication: Effectively communicate marketing plans and strategies to in-house teams, including publishing, editorial, and sales departments, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all functions.

    • Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends on social media that could enhance engagement and sales and use this information to refine and optimize marketing campaigns.

    • Social Media Management: Help oversee and manage One World’s Instagram account, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence that aligns with the brand's voice and identity.

    Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in book publishing.

    • Skills:Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

    • Strong creative thinking and strategic planning abilities.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.

    • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Proactive and exceptionally organized, with a keen attention to detail.

    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience designing marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.

     

    The salary for this position is $66,500 for an Associate Marketing Manager and $73,500 for a Marketing Manager. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results. This hybrid position has occasional in-office responsibilities, including but not limited to in-office meetings, author visits or events, and daily ad hoc projects. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
