    Job Overview

     

    TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Counsel to join our legal team supporting the Aerospace and Defense business unit. This role will provide legal guidance on a wide range of government contracting matters, with a strong emphasis on compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and related cybersecurity and procurement regulations. The Senior Counsel will also lead a team of contract analysts and paraprofessionals, and support internal investigations, litigation, and M&A activities.

    Job Requirements

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide legal advice and support on U.S. Government contracts, including prime and subcontracts

    + Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations.

    + Advise on cybersecurity compliance requirements, including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.

    + Counsel on Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) regulations and related priority-rated order requirements.

    + Advise on cost accounting standards, purchasing system requirements, and business systems compliance.

    + Conduct and support internal investigations and government inquiries, including fact-finding, reporting, and remediation.

    + Manage and support litigation and dispute resolution matters involving the business unit.

    + Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration, as needed.

    + Draft, review, and negotiate government and commercial contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.

    + Lead and develop a team of contract analysts and paraprofessionals, providing mentorship, performance management, and strategic direction.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders including finance, sales, compliance, engineering, and product management teams.

    + Monitor regulatory changes and provide training and updates to internal teams.

     

    What your background should look like

    Qualifications:

    + Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

    + Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on U.S. Government contracts.

    + In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement regulations.

    + Experience with cybersecurity regulations applicable to defense contractors.

    + Demonstrated experience conducting and supporting internal investigations and litigation.

    + Familiarity with cost accounting standards, purchasing system requirements, and DPAS regulations.

    + Proven leadership experience managing legal or contracts professionals.

    + Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Must be a U.S. Person as defined under applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations (e.g., ITAR).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Prior in-house counsel experience in the aerospace or defense industry.

    + Experience with international defense contracting and export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR).

    + Mergers & acquisitions (M&A) experience is a plus.

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $213,000 – $266,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

    • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

    • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
