    The Opportunity

     

    Are you an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing diverse teams, navigating complex negotiations, and implementing effective governance processes in a dynamic software environment? If so, you'll want to join our team as the Senior Director of Global Deal Desk, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global strategy, driving collaboration across regions, and presenting key initiatives to executive leadership, all while being part of a supportive culture that values innovation and teamwork.

     

    About the Team

     

    The Senior Director of Global Deal Desk role is part of the WW Deal Solutions team at Nutanix, which is dedicated to driving efficient deal processes and supporting sales teams across the globe. This team operates with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability, fostering a culture of open communication and support. The mission of the team is to streamline deal structures and enhance governance processes, enabling the company to close larger and more complex deals effectively. Geographically, the team spans across EMEA, APJ, and AMER, with an emphasis on aligning efforts across various regions to achieve global success.

     

    You will report to the Senior Director of WW Deal Solutions, who is known for fostering a culture of trust, openness, and accountability within the team. The hiring manager leads by example and prioritizes regular two-way communication, ensuring the team is supported and motivated throughout their work. The role will be hybrid, with the ideal candidate situated close to one of the main U.S. offices (Durham, San Jose, or Seattle), requiring attendance in the office for a certain number of days each week as determined by team needs.

     

    This role requires occasional travel, allowing for necessary face-to-face collaboration with regional teams and stakeholders. Travel will be primarily focused within the Americas region, with occasional international travel supporting the objectives of the Global Deal Desk and fostering relationships that enhance the overall effectiveness of deal management.

    Your Role

    + Lead and manage the global Deal Desk teams across EMEA, APJ, and AMER regions.

    + Identify and resolve operational issues within the deal desk to streamline workflows.

    + Implement governance structures and processes to reduce last-minute escalations and enhance efficiency.

    + Collaborate with sales teams to design effective deal structures and pricing strategies.

    + Conduct early deal reviews and present opportunities to executive leadership and the board.

    + Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, supporting diverse teams in multiple locations.

    + Drive the transformation of existing staff by promoting a growth mindset and innovative thinking.

    + Engage in periodic travel for stakeholder meetings and team support as required.

    What You Will Bring

    + Senior Director level experience in a software company.

    + Strong communication and conflict management skills.

    + Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams across geographical locations.

    + Experience in governance and establishing process structures.

    + Capability to present to executive leadership and boards.

    + Proactive problem identification and resolution skills.

    + Experience with deal structures and pricing strategies.

    + Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and handle escalations.

     

    Work Arrangement

     

    Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.

     

    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 195,200 and USD $ 320,400 per year.

     

    However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

     

    If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
