Qualifications:
+ Valid Washington State Teaching or Counseling Certificate
+ At least three (3) years successful experience working in a variety of programs, schools and grade levels
+ Experience providing guidance on post-secondary education and financial aid
+ Must support the adherence to the Career Education and Technical program standards set by the Superintendent of Public Instruction for Career and Technical Education in Washington State.
+ Possesses strong theoretical background in development of curriculum, program development, and systemic thinking
+ Proven ability to function in a team-oriented setting
+ Successful building or district leadership experience working with staff, students
+ Ability to support strategic planning and vision of the CCR department, supporting programs like the Vancouver Rising Educators (VRE) Grow Your Own teacher program
+ Strong background in the use of instructional technology, software, hardware and peripheral equipment connected to curriculum and instruction
+ Self-starter, able to see the big picture as well as develop short- and long-term plans to achieve goals
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Respected by peers and leaders for professional knowledge and skills
+ Experience working with adult learners
+ Ability to work cooperatively with students, their parents, and communities who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse
+ Advanced ability to use technology as an effective communication, planning and instructional tool
+ Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
Essential Functions:
+ Use research-based educational strategies and approaches to support teacher development and student achievement district wide
+ Provide intentional support and mentoring to future teachers and long-term substitutes as a leader in the Vancouver Rising Educators program
+ Must be persistent, caring, and knowledgeable about navigating college
+ Lead and support annual program budget requests and financial monitoring of grants and budget (including PD and Curriculum needs)
+ Support participation in advisory committee meetings
+ Lead and support Annual Program Self Evaluations
+ Support identification and growth of student access to Industry Recognized Certificates and Work Based Learning opportunities connected to CTE programs
+ Collaborate and consult with CCR leadership team, building principals and staff members to support new and existing CCR programs with curriculum, supplies, equipment and facility needs
+ Model effective instructional practices and promote effective teaching and learning
+ Design, coordinate and provide effective professional development to faculty and staff regarding educational technology and other CCR initiatives
+ Attend district, state, and/or national meetings and professional development training necessary to support successful CCR programs across the district
+ Support the development of partnerships with post-secondary partners, district departments and community based organizations to strengthen the Vancouver Rising Educators program.
+ This position will spend time in buildings or working directly with VRE participants sometimes through flexible hours based on program needs and to accommodate tutoring, check-ins of VRE participants
+ Acitvely engage participants in individual and collaborative learning activities
+ Works in a flexible and cooperative manner with availability to support VRE participants during evenings
+ Treats co-workers, supervisors, students, parents and others with dignity and respect at all times
+ Maintains regular and punctual attendance and hours of operation as set by the CCR Director to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements

Benefits/Compensation:
+ Salary range: $63,868 – 120,382 (includes Base & TRI enrichment; commensurate upon FTE, degree, credits and experience). Salary schedules can be accessed here (https://vansd.org/salary-schedules/) .
+ Additional Compensation: Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary range such as, but not limited to TRI professional learning, extended year days, extra appendix E supplemental days and professional development reimbursement. + Benefits: Employees who are anticipated to work at least 630 hours may be eligible for health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life, and disability insurance benefits. + Time Off: Includes paid time off, sick, personal, religious, military and bereavement leave.
+ Sick Leave: 8 hours per month (part-time employee accrual will be proportionate to their FTE).
